This project aims to increase the ability for separated extended families who meet only for seasonal or special occasions due to physical distance to reconnect together from within their homes. ‘What is Family?’ is an app designed to break the ice through conversation starters for families to play as a way to spend quality time together. This app will help families to get to know their extended family better.
The app also questions the concept of what family means, as not every family looks the same. For some, families are seen as close friends despite not being biologically related. ‘What is Family’ is designed to deepen new and existing connections between families by spending quality time together through light conversation as a starting point.
